The Reds welcome Championship outfit Barnsley to Anfield knowing they will be the overwhelming favourites to book a place in The FA Cup Quarter-finals.
Rafael Benitez's side go into the match on the back of a solid display against Chelsea in the league last weekend and are well aware that victory will leave them just two matches away from a first appearance at the New Wembley.
Our display in the stalemate with Avram Grant's men was a marked improvement on recent matches and Rafa and co will have to continue that over the next four days if they are to maintain their involvement in the cup competitions - particularly with Inter Milan following hot on the heels of Barnsley.
The Reds boss acknowledges Liverpool haven't been at their best in the league over recent months but insists that on their day they are a match for anyone and has warned his side against any type of complacency.
"We know we are not doing as well in the league and we must improve, but the FA Cup and Champions League are different competitions and we can beat anyone," said Rafa.
"We have a difficult game, and I say difficult because we have some experience in the Cup. Everybody says that we'll beat Barnsley but we must be careful and do the right things.
"Always when you play a team from another division you must still do your jobs properly. We have the game against Havant and Waterlooville as experience. We were thinking about scoring goals and we conceded.
"We knew before that game about the dangers, and if you remember we had a chance to score first with a Yossi Benayoun header. In this game we must not give the other team any options.
"Clearly this is a cup final for them, so it's a tough game. We also know they are physically very strong, so we must be careful. We have to give them a lot of respect.
"We have to score first and everything will be okay."
The Reds boss has received a timely boost ahead of what could prove to be a defining week for Liverpool, with the news that four members of his first-team squad are back in training.
Fernando Torres, Sami Hyypia, Alvaro Arbeloa and Fabio Aurelio have all reported fit for the clash with Barnsley, although the boss must decide whether to risk them with Inter looming ever closer on the horizon.
Meanwhile, emergency loan signing Luke Steele will go straight into the visitors' side to replace the injured goalkeeper Heinz Muller and the ineligible Tony Warner.
Lewin Nyatanga and Jon Macken are also out as they are cup-tied.
The Tykes reached this stage courtesy of a 1-0 win over Southend in round four and will be hoping it's third time lucky for a lower league side against Liverpool this season, after Luton Town and Havant and Waterlooville both went close to pulling off shock results.
Simon Davey's men are currently lying in the lower echelons of the Championship but he will hope the omens are on his side like they were on his club's last visit to Anfield, back in November 1997, when they were a Premiership side.
Back then they secured a shock 1-0 success and that match could well provide some sort of inspiration as he prepares his men for what will more than likely be the highlight of their season.

The Tykes boss is a lifelong Liverpool fan. Hope he keeps that in mind this afternoon.
